The Ixtoc Press website was originally intended to promote the book "El Tlanhuichi Dos". However, the idea of including other books by Tejano authors became more and more an evident goal. The search for Tejano authors brought quick and favorable results. Five authors graciously allowed their works to be listed by The Ixtoc Press. The need for a website to include and promote Tejano writings became quite obvious.

The Tejano culture is vibrant and very much alive in Texas. It is rich, colorful, extensive and like no other in America. Its Tex Mex cuisine is loved all over the world; its music is unique in style and variety. Many Tejanos have honorably served their country in practically all wars since the American Revolution. Tejanos are great leaders in government and business and hold successful roles in all walks of life. There is so much to be learned and written about our rich culture. The subject matter is endless.
